The Trust was registered on 24 December, 1968 by Prof. G R Bacha, to spread education among the masses.

MET College of Education, Sopore was established in 1972. Agha Ashraf Ali, an acclaimed educationist was its first Principal
MET Senior Secondary School Sopore was established in 1972.
